Background
Physical Attributes
Being a clone of Wolverine, X-23 has the same colorings though her skin is much paler than his. Her long hair usually hangs limp, more like covering rather than framing her face. She has a sharp gaze and a proud stance. Her smaller stature compared to Wolverine does not make her any less intimidating. Usually, she dresses in shades of black with leather being her favorite material (it's in the genes), not that she can afford to buy too many leather outfits these days. In Milieux, she has taken to wearing Logan's oversized jacket over her black tank.
X-23 is one of the lucky mutants who appear completely human. Her only difference physically would only be her claws which have been coated with Adamantium (not infused like Wolverine's); two on each hand and one on each foot. The claws are not her only mutant attribute however, as she also has superhuman strength, speed, agility, senses, as well as accelerated healing. Her healing factor is much quicker than Wolverine's since she is not stunted by having Adamantium-laced skeleton. This, however, means that she is not indestructible like Wolverine seems to be.
It is unknown whether she can regrow limbs and missing organs or not, but here she is unable to; though she can reattach them. Despite her amazing healing factor, she has many self-inflicted scars on her arms that strangely do not disappear. These are all in the shape of X.
Personality
X-23 is taciturn and tense when meeting new people; finding it hard to believe that they are not there to hurt her. Quiet and withdrawn, she rarely says more than needed, sometimes not even what is needed. She rarely expresses her emotions, regarding everyone with a cold gaze and an unsmiling face. It would be hard to know just what goes on in her mind, though she is quite easily readable by telepaths (And on that note, everything in the paragraphs are there for telepaths to see as they please).
Having lived as a weapon for all her life, it is hard to tell whether she can ever be a normal girl. Her surrogate mother had tried to teach her some sense of humanity by treating her as a child, but X-23 hardly responded to her, seemingly more interested in her missions. She does love her mother however, though the realization came too late as she cried over her mother's dead body. While X-23 seems to show remorse for having killed the people important to her, she does not see killing itself as bad. She believes that it is alright to kill people as long as you have an inkling of good reason for it.
While she does not seem to value human lives at all, perhaps it is not due to her being intrinsically evil. After all, she is naive in so many ways that you would be convinced she did every one of those murder involuntarily. She is filled with good intentions but bad methods of achieving them. Of course, her being such an amazing actress, it would be hard to tell if her intentions really are as innocent as they may seem.
X-23 engages in self-injury, perhaps in response to not knowing what to do with her emotions. Perhaps it is because pain speaks louder than words ever can. She does this quite regularly, it seems, during random moments but even more severely whenever she is upset. Her healing factor heals any wound she inflicts on herself though the scars refuse to disappear.
Abilities
Her primary ability would be her accelerated healing factor. Even severe injuries like gunshots to the head, severed limbs and puncture wounds heal in mere seconds; granted that the limbs are reattached and the intruding object taken out of her body. This healing factor also extends to her immune system, making her immune to almost all diseases and infections. She is also immune to most drugs though sufficient dosage would affect her.
Her secondary mutant abilities would include superhuman strength, stamina, speed and senses. She also has the retractable Adamantium-coated claws. Her skeleton is normal, so she is destructible, unlike Wolverine seems to be.
X-23 has also had intensive training to become a very formidable living weapon. She is trained in the use of most weapons as well as in many armed or unarmed martial arts techniques. Due to her mutant abilities, she is an amazing hand-to-hand combatant. She is also educated in many languages, notably French and Sunni, in acting in order to infiltrate places as well as in strategies and methods of killing.
She was subjected to a conditioning for a 'trigger scent' which sends her on a killing rampage; targeting the target with the scent until they are dead or until the scent is gone.
Where Canon and Character go separate ways
After the events of X-23: Innocence Lost and X-23: Target X, X-23 has been travelling around aimlessly until she arrived at Milieux. This is before any events noted in NYX so it will be as if she found herself in Milieux instead of New York.
And on that note, I think I'll explain the reason why she's taken to using the name X-23 again while in Milieux, instead of Laura. This is because in NYX, she hardly says anything so we can't gather anything from there and in her next appearance, in Uncanny X-men she was introduced as X-23. This isn't because she doesn't like the name Laura, rather, it's because she is still unsure whether she even deserves a real name. After all, what Captain America said was right: she was a weapon. Weapon needed no name, only a designation.
