Background
Isaac is an artist and comic book author from New York City. In the spring of 2006, he discovered he had the ability to paint/draw future events. Needless to say, this ability freaked him out, especially when he painted a mural of the destruction of New York.
He was a heroin junkie and initially would only paint these 'visions' while under the influence of the drugs. He was trained to paint them without needing the drugs by the Company.
After painting a series that revealed that Peter Petrelli was invisible, Isaac is given a gun by Mr. Bennet and told that he should use it to 'save the world'. Simone breaks up with Isaac, despite Isaac's protests that Peter is dangerous.
Peter showed up at his apartment and the two fought, with Isaac drawing his gun and Peter turning invisible. Unfortunately Simone arrived then and was accidentally shot by Isaac.
Candice arrived, disguised as Simone, keeping Isaac from being arrested. Mr. Bennet showed up and told Isaac that he needed to keep painting.
Distraught over the death of Simone, Isaac shot up some heroin, went into a trace and painted his own death.
Where Canon and Character go separate ways
After painting his own death, Isaac bought a junker car, packed up some supplies and headed out of New York.
He had no destination in mind until he stopped the first night in a cheap motel and painted a picture of Milieux. Deciding that he may have an alternate destiny that wouldn't end with his death, he arrived in the town and got a job teaching art at the school.
