Background
Cameron Mitchell, usually preferring simply to be called Cam, was born in in small-town Kansas. His father was once a test pilot and has always been Cam's hero. Especially after the accident that took the man's legs and the family left their Kansas farm when Cam was eight. They've been living in Eschatos ever since.
He's a troublemaker around people his own age, perfectly well mannered and polite around adults. He 'sir's and 'ma'am's and will watch his mouth. But left out of the view of adults he has to impress, Cam can be found smoking (despite his parents' disapproval), going to parties and drinking, and dating older girls. Around Eschatos there has even been rumour about Cameron dating someone's mother. Completely untrue but he never bothered to refute it. It was good for his reputation.
Best friends with Daniel Jackson, Cam helped the other boy recover from social suicide (meaning Daniel dumped his very popular girlfriend), and took him into a circle very few have ever been allowed; the circle that includes Cam's family. Not long after Cam's seventeenth birthday, the family packed up and moved again, taking Cam's then-homeless friend with them.
Where Canon and Character go separate ways
Right from the beginning. From year of birth (Canon!Cam was 1970, this Cam is 1991), to the smoking habit and, hell, living anywhere but Kansas for his senior year of highschool. There's also no canon evidence of a ridiculously younger sister.
